Kaliro Human Rights project (2011- 2013)

Funded by  the Independent  Development  Fund,  the  project aimed  to promote  inclusion  of Persons with Disabilities in development programmes through increased observance of human rights.  The project involved training of PWDs, local government authorities, service providers, CSOs, elected leaders and the general community on rights of persons with disabilities as a way of increasing mainstreaming of disability  in  development  programmes.  As  a  result  of  the intervention, 10 youth advocacy groups with 60 young people with disabilities were empowered to continue campaigning and lobbying for the promotion and respects of rights 0f Persons with Disabilities.
